Masjid Al-Dukhtur Afrasheem Ali (Ungoofaaru Islamic Centre)

The mosque, Masjid Al-Dukhtur Afrasheem Ali, stands as a poignant tribute in memory of the Maldivian renowned Scholar late Dr. Afrasheem Ali.The Mosque boasts a spacious prayer area encompassing 5380 sqft, accommodating up to 900 worshippers. The Mosque is designed across two stories, incorporating essential facilities such as toilets, a separate area for ablution, a storage room, a minaret, four classrooms, a library, a pantry, an administrative office, and a meeting hall.This government-built Mosque had an expenditure of 29,278,032.37 MVR. Notably, the administration and management of this significant place of worship have been entrusted to the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM), reflecting a collaborative effort towards fostering religious and educational initiatives in the community.
